      We paid an extra cost in order to be on a high floor, the view allegedly breathtaking. First when we got there we were given a room on the 12th floor. I immediately complained but the receptionist was extremely professional and friendly in dealing with the problem. She asked to show her they reservation where it was clearly indicate High floor room. She looked for what was available and gave us a room on the 20th. When we got the room, the first thing I checked was the view. Big deception. View on some boring no character and rather low buildings on 27th street. Outrageous to pay extra for such an appalling and uninteresting view. I go to NYC every 6-8 months. Last time I booked a room in the Springhill suites by Marriott also on the same street. The view was amazing. Unfortunately they had no available room this time. The bed is rather uncomfortable and too soft. Not good for my back. Then one crazy thing tho we were two I was there with my husband, house keeping always left 1 towel for the two of us. We mentioned it several times at the reception but they kept on leaving one towel. So every day I had to call to get a second towel one. Really weird but the cleaning of the room was alway extremely clean. Then air conditioning. It was warm enough to put the ac but the cleaning staff would always turn in on full blast so every night when we’re back it was freezing cold. We both needed an extra blanket to sleep….
