- What did you like most?The location is great, and being on a high floor with a view of the lake was a highlight, even in winter.
- Was there anything you didn't like?There were, however, a few issues that affected the comfort of the stay. First, the heating in the room was extremely noisy, well over 50 decibels, making it feel like sleeping with a vacuum cleaner running. Earplugs didn’t help, and turning off the heating in December in Chicago (which I tried) wasn’t a realistic option. Second, the coffee machine was not functioning properly. Each time I made a coffee, I had to hold the capsule in place to prevent it from falling. It’s a small issue, but a frustrating one. Although I asked for the machine to be changed and was told it had been, the problem remained. Most disappointing was the lack of basic amenities. On the night I arrived, there was no soap in the shower. I asked for it to be refilled the following morning, but after returning late that evening from a full day at the conference, it was still empty. This felt like a basic issue that should have been handled promptly.
