Town and Country Resort features an authentic mid-century modern design and friendly, SoCal vibe. Recently renovated and voted Best Resort in San Diego in 2024 by San Diego Magazine readers, the resort offers an entertaining stay with five restaurants and bars, including the award-winning restaurant, ARLO, on-site marketplace, a host of recreational amenities including a 4-story waterslide named “Twister, and pet-friendly accommodations. - What did you like most?Overall, my stay at Town and Country San Diego was okay, but I expected more considering the price. The hotel has a nice atmosphere and a good location, but there were several drawbacks that made the experience less enjoyable.
- Was there anything you didn't like?First, the rooms felt outdated—while they were clean, the decor and amenities seemed old-fashioned, not what you’d expect for the price. Surprisingly, they didn’t even provide basic one-time-use slippers, which is something you’d anticipate from a hotel in this price range. Another major downside was the parking situation—they charge a ridiculous $38 per night, and to make matters worse, the parking lot isn’t even close to the hotel entrance. I had to walk about five minutes from the lot to get to my room, which was really inconvenient, especially with luggage. Additionally, there’s no indoor pool or gym, which is a big letdown for a hotel of this size and cost. Many comparable hotels in San Diego offer these facilities, so it felt like a missed opportunity. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the outdoor areas were well-maintained. However, for the price, I expected a better overall experience. If you’re looking for convenience and modern amenities, there are likely better options in San Diego.
