A nice enough resort, but we had a bad experience.
- What did you like most?Our original room was very depressing with a terrible view and smell. We talked to the manager and he was able to move us to a beautiful room that we enjoyed. It had a lovely balcony that overlooked the pool. The weather was extremely windy, but we could sit on the balcony and be protected. The beach looked lovely, but we couldn't swim as it was very windy. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and really enjoyed the food. It would have been better if we could have had an ocean view while dining, ( it's right on the beach), but it was too windy and they needed to put up wind protection. The breakfast had lots of options with both American and Mexican options. The view from the breakfast restaurant was lovely overlooking the pool. We were able to walk to grocery stores and the main Cancun clubs were @a 20 minute easy walk away.
- Was there anything you didn't like?At first we were given a room facing the main road with windows that you could not see out of. (They looked milky and old.) When you went out on the balcony, there was a terrible sewer smell that was unbearable and there was a bunch of equipment laying around with the landscaping all torn up. We were able to change to a different room, but it left me with a bad impression that they would give us that room at all, especially since we were there on the off season and the resort was fairly empty. I could almost understand if they were fully booked and it was the only room left, but there were many rooms to choose from. I kind of feel like they were trying to see what they could get away with. For this reason, I would not stay there again.
