- What did you like most?In the heart of Lapa this hotel fits right in. You are 2 min walk from the famous stairs, and 10 min walk from all the bars and clubs. The metro is a 5 min walk. Breakfast has great options but too many fruit flies around the food. You get a welcome drink which you can claim at the roof top bar. They also host so many activities everyday like Karaoke, free walking tours etc. You can eat lunch and dinner there out of your own pocket and I recommend it. Reviews say the area is dangerous and I didn’t find it to be the case entirely. There are plenty of homeless around so if you go out at night stay in lit areas and don’t go alone to feel extra safe.

- Was there anything you didn't like?Very disappointing experience with both the hotel and Booking I’m having a very bad experience with this property. They charged my wife’s card even though the booking clearly stated that cancellation was free. We contacted Booking several times, and they keep telling us to speak with the property. We personally spoke with the reception, who said they would contact the accounting office. After a few days, we were told that the refund would be made in about one month. We explained that we didn’t use a credit card but a regular debit card, and they didn’t seem to know how to handle that situation. Their answers felt very generic, and it seems that the accounting office never actually processed the refund. I’m very disappointed with both the hotel and Booking. We have always trusted Booking for our reservations, but this time the situation has been handled very poorly.
